September 4 -- 7:00am to Sellout -- Farmers’ Market -- The Farmers’ Market is starting the 2010 season on Saturdays from 7:00am until sellout. The location remains the same at University and 6th Street. There is always a variety of produce from several local growers. There are lots of plants as well: flowers, herbs, vegetable starters and tomato plants. A new banner for Farmers’ Market has been ordered thanks to the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. September 4 & 5 -- 10:00am to 5:00pm -- Cleveland Roller Millfest -- The Event is a fun filled weekend for the entire family. The Cleveland Roller Mill is located 5-6 miles northwest of Mora, NM on State Hwy 518. The Cleveland Mill is the last and largest of the mills built in the Mora Valley and has been restored to operating condition and serves as a museum. During the event the mill will be in operation. September 18 -- 7:30am -- First Annual 5K Run/Walk -- Alta Vista Regional Hospital announces the first annual 5K run/walk as part of the annual health fair event. The 5K run/walk will begin at the San Miguel County Fair Grounds and end at the Plaza Park. The entry fee for the 5K run/walk is twenty dollars.
